IEBRA

The IEBRA (Integrative EPC for Building Renovation Acceleration) project, part of the LIFE programme and funded by the European Union, aims to speed up the renovation of Europe’s building stock to achieve nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEB). The project seeks to improve the availability and quality of building data, making it easier to make better decisions from an energy, environmental and financial perspective.

IEBRA is developing two complementary solutions: the Smart B-Renov Toolbox and the Open Digital Hub, a BIM-based digital ecosystem that integrates energy performance certificates (EPCs), life cycle assessments (LCAs), financial evaluations, digital inspection technologies and harmonised databases into a unified workflow. These tools help owners, designers, financial institutions and service providers to identify and evaluate the most suitable refurbishment strategies.

The project will be demonstrated across three European pilot regions and backed by an extensive training programme comprising training materials, workshops and webinars to streamline the implementation of the developed solutions.

CYPE is coordinating the project and contributing its expertise in BIM technologies, open standards and digital collaboration platforms, thereby helping to develop an integrated ecosystem for more efficient and evidence-based building renovation.
