INBLANC
INdustrialisation of Building Lifecycle data Accumulation, Numeracy and Capitalisation (INBLANC) is a Horizon Europe project aimed at transforming how data is collected, processed, and capitalised across the entire life cycle of buildings. Coordinated by DEMO Consultants and supported by 22 partners across 10 countries, INBLANC’s goal is to develop an open and holistic digital ecosystem centred on Building Lifecycle Data Management (BLDM). The project introduces innovative methodologies to convert building-related data into meaningful insights for planning, renovation, and sustainability assessment.
INBLANC addresses the fragmentation of the AEC industry by integrating participants and tools across design, construction, use, and end-of-life stages, aligned with the EN 15978 framework. It establishes a Digital Building Logbook that consolidates data from diverse sources to derive indicators across five dimensions: energy, human well-being, environment, economy, and resilience.
Activities will take place at six demonstration sites in Hengelo (Netherlands), Nicosia (Cyprus), Murcia (Spain), Thessaloniki (Greece), Geneva (Switzerland), and Aalborg (Denmark), covering diverse building typologies and challenges.
CYPE participates in INBLANC by contributing its expertise in BIM-based Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), integrating Open BIM standards into the project’s LCA for the demonstration cases. These developments will support decision-making with improved sustainability, cost-efficiency, and resilience assessments.
