Examples of water supply networks

Below is an example of a water supply network that can be created in the program, showing the layout of the components and the options available for adding them to the model:

Water supply infrastructure for a housing development

  1. General supply node (from "Nodes", "New").
  2. Water supply points for homes, green spaces and/or hydrants (from "Nodes", "New").
  3. Spans (from "Sections", "New").

In this case, a loadcase is defined for domestic water consumption, another for water consumption associated with green spaces, and a further one for each of the hydrants under consideration.

In addition, the following combinations are defined, with the indicated percentage of consumption for each loadcase:

  • First scenario: 100% residential consumption
  • Second combination: 80% residential consumption, 100% green space consumption
  • Third combination and subsequent ones: 50% domestic consumption, 100% consumption from two selected hydrants
