At CYPE we continue to innovate in the digitalisation of the architecture, engineering and construction industry. One of the latest advances we have been working on is CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems, our specialised program designed to automate the analysis of hydraulic systems in fire protection projects.
This tool optimises the process, from the import of spaces to the automatic generation of water distribution networks.
Discover how to automate the analysis of hydraulic systems in fire protection projects in a simple and efficient way
Automating the analysis of hydraulic systems is essential to ensure the accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance of your fire protection projects. From the intelligent import of spaces from a BIM model to the automatic generation of water distribution networks, measurement of hangers and accurate configuration of fittings, our program provides all the tools you need to streamline the analysis and design.
Save time with the automatic and simplified import of spaces
A new option that was recently added is a wizard that improves the import process from a BIM model linked to BIMserver.center. This helps users to easily select codes, manufacturers' catalogues and spaces before starting the design, ensuring an optimal project configuration.
It also allows the automatic classification of the spaces read from the IFC file, assigning specific types according to the properties of the spaces and their values, which facilitates the organisation and design according to the project's needs.
The import wizard allows you to visualise the spaces in a 3D model of the building and ensures that all imported spaces are considered for the fire protection design. Spaces that do not require hydraulics systems can also be removed to avoid possible errors in the final analysis.
Automatically measure hangers for the system
Another improvement is the automation of the measurement of hangers for pipe installation. This process, which was previously manual, is now managed automatically and facilitates the generation of measurements based on the geometry and diameters of the pipes.
Generate full water distribution networks
Our tool offers a feature for automatically generating water distribution networks. This feature is used to create grid systems, branch lines or cross mains with branch lines, optimising the design based on the space's geometry. You can select elements from manufacturers' catalogues or generic libraries and define parameters such as the network type, spacing between sprinklers, and protected areas.
It is also possible to configure grid systems and central cross mains, defining the number of sprinklers and branches for each area. These options improve the efficiency of the designs, greatly reducing the time needed to create them.
Design your hydraulic network automatically and in compliance with standards
The program also has a tool for designing the hydraulic network, automatically selecting the pipe diameters according to the defined analysis parameters. This means that the design complies with the code requirements more quickly and accurately. If errors occur, the program automatically adjusts the diameters until a valid configuration is obtained, thus optimising the entire process.
Optimise the design and measurement of fittings with total accuracy
CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems can now automatically create and measure fittings such as elbows, tees, connections and crosses. Previously, this process had to be done manually or by entering pipe losses. Now, fittings are represented in 3D and the program verifies that the number of connections and pipe angles are correct, ensuring a more accurate and efficient design.
CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems is a complete and efficient solution for automating the analysis of hydraulic systems in fire protection projects. With its ability to automate key processes such as importing spaces, measuring fittings and hangers, and generating water distribution networks, our program is a must-have tool for engineers and AEC professionals looking to optimise their projects and ensure regulatory compliance. The new version not only reduces time but also improves the accuracy and quality of hydraulic designs.
