Open BIM Carpentry is a program that has been created to help users to design and create the documentation of the carpentry of a building. In its initial versions, Open BIM Carpentry allows users to specify the design of exterior glazed windows and doors and obtain the corresponding drawings and documents with the specifications that are required for the development of the project.
Open BIM Site is a free application for defining the initial conditions of a project site. Using this tool, users can establish the geographical location of the models, manage different types of maps, enter topographic surfaces and add elements specific to the site, such as parcels and buildings.
Open BIM Layout is a free computer tool, whose main objective is to generate views and dimensions and provide the layout of technical drawings using BIM models (floors plans, elevations, sections and axonometric perspectives).
Open BIM Water Equipment is a free tool that has been developed to introduce appliances and fittings, which require a water supply connection (bathroom and kitchen sinks, showers, bathtubs, toilets, bidets, dishwashers, washing machines… ), in the BIM model of the project.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, most national governments in the affected countries have imposed mobility restrictions to prevent the spread of the disease. Open BIM COVID-19, a free tool developed by CYPE, allows users to establish and check the necessary conditions for reopening companies and returning to workplaces.
