CYPECAD version 2026.a includes the following program improvements and corrections for some specific cases:
- For precast concrete joist floor systems, the "Assign" option (Results tab > Joists tab) now includes the possibility to automatically assign the length of the joists by unchecking the "Length" box. This feature is particularly useful for skewed panels or those with different lights.
- A colour can be assigned to the predefined loads. If no colour is assigned, they are shown with the colour corresponding to their associated loadcase.
- Building elements can be entered via screenshots to DXF/DWG.
- The export of stresses for analysing connections has been improved. For beam intersections with hinges, they were exported in such a way that the connections were not connected to the beam with which they are framed.
- The "Adjust" option of "Columns, shear walls and starts" has been improved. As of this version, the nearest column will always be selected. In previous versions, users had to position themselves at right angles to one of the sides of the column.
- R15 can be selected for steel elements in fire resistance checks according to the Eurocode.
- The "Tags" option has been improved. Tags can now be assigned to wall base beams, crown beams, and embedded beams.
- The export to IFC has been improved. Information on the thicknesses of the intumescent paints used has been added.
- "Customised reports" have been improved. Now, if applicable, issues related to foundation elements are displayed.
- An error that occurred when designing foundations, if a foundation element did not have any associated columns or walls, has been fixed. This could happen after deleting the column or wall associated with that element.
- An error that could occur when modifying "Anchorage length in rectangular and circular sections" in "Column start options" has been fixed.
- An error that could occur in the "Forces in columns, shear walls and walls" option has been fixed. (Expression: npl > muro->primeraPlanta && npl <= muro->primeraPlanta + muro->numPlantas, Files: murosce.c (EP2BASE.DLL))
- Job creation has been improved with the "Automatic entry DXF/DWG" option. The import of circular columns has been added.
- An error that could occur when designing columns has been fixed. This error occurred if a column with a generic section had been defined with its base on top of another column.
- An error that occurred when exporting forces for connection analysis has been fixed. (Expression: encontrado == CIERTO, Fichero: mar3ductbrelacnu.c (MODANRES3D.DLL)).
- An error that occurred when printing floor plans has been fixed. This error could occur if "In the table" was selected in "Reinf. slabs – Base reinf. – Draw".
- An error that could occur in the column editor when modifying a section of a concrete column after unlocking it has been fixed. (Expression: num_zonas == apunorde_numelems(zonas_armado_transversal_a_actualizar, i_zona_armado_transv_t) , File: pildimen.c (PILARES.DLL)).
- The detail drawings and column tables have been improved. In some situations, the length of the bars shown in the two drawings did not match.
- An error that could occur when drawing floor plans has been fixed. This occurred when a centring beam was defined with a type that had been deleted from the "Strap beam tables".
- An error that occurred when designing beam frames has been fixed. (Expression:, File: cvhneccomp.c (COMPVIGHORM.DLL))
- Export to IFC has been improved. Beam references are now exported if defined.
- An error that could occur when analysing the job has been fixed. (Expression: rel_ini > 0., File: vigasce.c (CEGEN.DLL))
- Footing checks have been improved. The warning "No loads act on the analysed footing" is now displayed if the job is not analysed.
- An error that could occur when viewing the envelopes in the "Forces on piles" tab when editing a pile cap has been fixed (Expression: height > 1e-50 && height < 1e50, File: cypeplan.c (BASICS.DLL))
- An error that could occur when designing the foundation has been fixed (Expression:, File: gcdatgscomp.c (GESTCOMP.DLL)).
- An error that occurred when copying a job if the name of the new job ended with “.” followed by a letter (e.g. “.a”) has been fixed.
- An error that could occur when designing beam frames has been fixed (Expression: num > 1, File: pvdimen.c (PORVIGAS.DLL)).
- An error that could occur when inserting block walls has been fixed (Expression: hacer_trabado_con_piezas_de_esquina == FALSO, Fichero: piezapos.c (BLOQUES.DLL))
- An error that could occur when editing mixed columns with Eurocode 4 has been fixed. (Expression: L_m > i_PRECISION5, File: cpmec4comp.c (COMPPILMIX.DLL)).
- An error that occurred when checking the concrete nodes in the case of two frames with the same reference in a floor has been fixed.
