CYPE adapts Fujitsu air conditioning systems to Open BIM technology in the United States

DESTACADO:

CYPE has adapted the more than 130 air conditioning systems of Fujitsu U.S. to the Open BIM workflow environment, which is characterised by being collaborative, open and coordinated. With this implementation carried out by CYPE's Open BIM Systems department, US designers now have a highly specialised tool to assist them in the energy simulation of their solutions.

More specifically, the CYPETHERM Fujitsu program allows US professionals to perform building energy simulations, enabling them to determine the energy demand of buildings, as well as the energy performance of Fujitsu air conditioning systems by measuring the energy consumption per supply system and energy vector used.

To carry out these calculations, CYPETHERM Fujitsu uses the EnergyPlusTM calculation engine developed by the United States Department of Energy (DOE), one of the most widely used, powerful and recognised energy simulation engines in the world. Also, in the case of renovation projects or energy improvement projects, thanks to this program, US technicians will be able to anticipate the necessary economic investment that should be made to achieve a better energy efficiency rating, obtaining the cost estimate of the improvement measures and the studies of the payback in these improvements with Fujitsu air conditioning systems.

The CYPETHERM Fujitsu program, adapted to the Open BIM workflow, was officially presented at the Fujitsu US stand during the 2019 AHR EXPO in Atlanta, which took place from 14 to 16 January at the Georgia World Congress Center.

CYPE, a reference in the digital transformation of manufacturers and BIM implementation

Within the development of BIM, CYPE is considered to be one of the companies in the industry that has invested the most in the implementation of BIM technology worldwide, according to the “Global Building Information Modeling (BIM) Market” report elaborated by the American international counselling firm Credence Research, which has trained more than 4,000 professionals in this work methodology.

In this line of work and with the aim of helping manufacturers in their digital transformation process, CYPE has expanded its range of services to companies with the creation of Open BIM Systems, a new area aimed at companies and manufacturers in the AEC industry interested in integrating their products in BIM projects and improving their prescription among professionals in the sector.
