CYPE will provide its architecture, engineering and construction software and technological solutions to all students who are members of the national associations of civil engineering students (ANEIC) in Latin America in order to train and provide them with state-of-the-art tools to enhance their university education and develop their professional careers from a practical point of view.
To this end, CYPE has also organised a training cycle of 18 free training sessions this year to be held online between 13 August and 10 December, in which attendees will learn how to use CYPE's technological tools adapted to the Open BIM workflow via the BIMserver.center cloud platform and learn about the digitisation process the construction industry is undergoing.
With this initiative carried out by CYPE and the Latin American ANEICs, the two institutions want to enhance students' skills and according to Carlos Fernández, technical director of CYPE, "Improve students' options for entering the job market by providing them with practical knowledge on the use of professional state-of-the-art design and analysis tools".
There are currently nine ANEICs in Latin America that have joined this initiative with which the promoters want to "reduce the cultural, salary, digital and educational gap" of civil engineering students across the region. Specifically, the countries signed up to this agreement are Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Honduras, Argentina, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Bolivia and Chile. This agreement is open to the other ANEICs interested in joining. Any students who wish to use CYPE software completely free of charge throughout their academic years should contact the ANEIC in their country.
