CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems

Long access paths

In previous versions, file paths used by applications were limited to a maximum length of 256 characters. This restriction is not specific to CYPE tools but is set by default in the Windows file system. As of version 2024.b, CYPE applications can bypass the restriction and allow the use of an extended path length for a maximum total path length of 10,000 characters. This eliminates the problems caused by the default limit and allows users to work with long access paths.

This improvement is particularly useful when working on projects with a complex directory structure or with long file names. By allowing longer paths, CYPE applications offer greater flexibility in file organisation.

Program user guide

A "User guide" has been included in the application, and can be accessed from the Help menu. The guide includes basic information to get to know all the program tools and how they work.

Discharge grilles

The element "Grilles" has been included and can be checked in accordance with the design code. Grilles must be entered inside stairwells for the air discharge to be uniform.

For protected lobbies, a grille must be introduced for each one.

Design load case

As of the 2020.e version, "CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems" includes the "Generate load case" option when a pressure system is being entered.

This new tool generates the "door open" load cases, in accordance with that indicated in the EN 12101-6 standard.

CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems (new program)

"CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems" is an application developed to carry out the checks described in EN 12101-6, which establishes the requirements of a stair overpressure installation.

The application has the System A, B, C, D and E classes that are included in the standard so to perform all the checks that are required for each of them.

"CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems" generates a report for each system, providing details on each system, an estimate of leaks through doors, windows and walls, the flow obtained for each design criteria, etc.

"CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems" can be downloaded from the BIMserver.center platform and installed in Catalan, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Portuguese from Brazil, Spanish, Spanish from Argentina or Spanish from Mexico.
