Examples of photovoltaic system models

Below are examples of photovoltaic systems that can be developed in the program, indicating the layout of the elements and the options that allow their insertion into the model.

Grid-connected system

  1. Solar panels (from "Enter elements", "Solar panel’/‘Row of panels") grouped into branches (from "Groups", "Branches"/"Assign branch"). The inverter reference must be specified in the "Output" of the branches.
  2. Inverter (from "Element Input", "Inverter"). The grid connection point reference must be specified in the "Output" of the inverter.
  3. Grid connection point (from "Enter elements", "Grid connection point"). The "Connection type" must be specified as "Connected to the grid" in its dialogue box.

Off-grid system

  1. Solar panels (from "Enter elements", "Solar panel" / "Row of panels") grouped into branches (from "Groups", "Branches" / "Assign branch"). The reference number of the regulator must be specified in the "Output" of the branches.
  2. Regulator (from "Enter elements", "Regulator"). The inverter reference must be specified in the "Output" of the regulator.
  3. Monoblock battery (from "Enter elements", "Monoblock battery"). The reference number of the regulator must be specified in the "Output" of the monoblock battery.
  4. Inverter (from "Enter elements", "Inverter"). The reference number of the grid connection point must be specified in the "Output" of the inverter.
  5. Grid connection point (from "Enter elements", "Grid connection point"). The "Connection type" must be specified as "Isolated from the grid" in its dialogue box.

  3. Hybrid inverter (from "Enter elements", "Hybrid inverter"). The grid connection point reference must be specified in the "Output" of the hybrid inverter.
  4. Grid connection point (from "Enter elements", "Grid connection point"). The "Connection type" must be specified as "Grid-isolated" in its dialogue box.
