Data input and output sequence for designing and analysing water supply systems
The water supply system can be defined and analysed in the "Water Systems" tab of the program using the following sequence of data input and output:
- Creating a new project (from "File", "New").
- (Optional) Connecting to BIMserver.center and importing the geometric model, defining the configuration and applicable regulations, importing catalogues, and generating consumption data and downloads based on the sanitary fittings extracted from the BIM model.
- (Optional) Review and configure manufacturer catalogues (under "Project", "Catalogues").
- Reviewing and configuring general options (under "Project", "General options").
- Defining the location (from "Project", "City").
- Locating the connection point for the water supply system in the work area (under "Water supply", "Connection point").
- Laying out the equipment and fittings in the water supply system within the work area:
- Installating meters, tanks, pumping systems, fittings (such as valves) and manifolds (options from the "Water Supply" section).
- Inserting DHW production equipment and heat exchangers (options in the "DHW" section).
- Laying out the water supply points in the work area. This can be done in several ways:
- Using consumption data generated automatically from the sanitary fittings read from the BIM model or from the downloads entered in the "Sanitary Systems" tab.
- Entering consumption figures manually (options in the "Consumption" section).
- Routing pipes between the connection point, the consumption points and the other equipment included (options in the "Pipes" group).
- (Optional) Generating localised pressure drops at pipe joints (under "Water supply", "Localised pressure drops in pipe joints").
- Analysing, checking and designing model elements, and viewing results (the "Analysis" group).
- (Optional) Management and generation of installation diagrams (the "Diagrams" tab).
- (Optional) Bill of quantities management and generation (the "Bill of quantities" tab).
- Viewing reports and drawings (via the "Reports" and "Drawings" options on the top menu bar).
- Exporting to BIMserver.center (from "BIMserver.center", "Share").
