CYPE has joined as a member of the standing committee of the Spanish Construction Technology Platform PTEC, the central management body of this group, where it will represent and defend the interests of SMEs and start-ups in the construction industry.
The PTEC aims to contribute to the improvement of the construction industry through public-private partnerships in research, development and innovation, involving companies, business associations, universities, research centres, technology centres and clients.
Within the standing committee, CYPE will share their experience in R&D&I projects in the construction industry, as they have participated in 18 innovation projects in different areas such as Open BIM technology, sustainability, augmented and virtual reality, 3D printing, structures and smart cities, among others.
A decade as a PTEC member
CYPE joined the Construction Technology Platform in June 2011 with the aim of collaborating and helping to promote and develop measures to improve efficiency and sustainability in construction processes. During this time, CYPE has carried out different tasks such as coordinating the "PTEC Construction Processes Working Group" together with the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA) and the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM).
