CYPE has conducted a business tour in Thailand where it held different professional meetings with universities, companies and associations of the construction industry with the aim of showing its software solutions and strengthening the company's presence in the country. The tour, which was organised together with local partners Twoplus Soft, is part of CYPE's international expansion strategy in Asia, where its programs adapted to Open BIM technology are used in countries such as China, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, India and South Korea.

The commercialisation of CYPE software in Thailand began in 2021 when a distribution agreement was signed with Twoplus Soft, the country's leading company in consultancy and distribution of specialised software, which is currently focusing its efforts on diffusing and implementing the new BIM programs.

Academic representatives from the universities of Chulalongkorn, Rangsit and Thammasat, as well as from the AIT School of Engineering and Technology and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang were given a firsthand look at the tools developed by CYPE for architectural design, structural design and analysis, MEP systems, energy efficiency, project management, BOQ and Specifications for construction, and life cycle analysis. They also had the opportunity to try out BIMserver.center Education, a platform specially designed for universities, training centres, technical schools, etc.

Furthermore, the delegation from CYPE visited the headquarters of more than a dozen Thai companies whose technicians were able to familiarise themselves with the Spanish company's software suite and several of the set packages such as BIM Essentials or the CYPE Connect application for modelling and analysing connections between both steel elements and structural timber elements and even between steel sections and structural timber elements. Among the companies were some of the country's major architectural, engineering and construction firms such as Trandar International, REI Software, Constructive Solutions, Propertist, PPS Project Planning Service and Thai Obayashi Corporation.
