CYPE has received the "Innovative SME" seal, which the Spanish ministry of economy and competitiveness awards to Spanish companies with proven experience in innovation and research. In the case of CYPE, the ministry has valued the development of innovative solutions in the construction industry, products that are already on the market and that are helping to shape a more efficient and sustainable construction industry, while promoting the introduction of ICT in this important industry in Spain.
Thus, over the last few years, CYPE has led different research projects such as the one aimed at reducing the damage to buildings in the event of earthquakes, or the one consisting of the development of software capable of minimising the energy consumption of buildings. CYPE also has a tool for analysing and studying the energy improvement provided by geothermal energy in a building and is one of the companies participating in the 3DCONS project, a Spanish initiative that aims to introduce 3D printing technologies in the construction industry, both in the field of new construction and in the rehabilitation and restoration of heritage. In addition, CYPE has developed software and a platform, in collaboration with ASPRIMA, to reduce the time it takes to grant urban planning licences.
On an international level, CYPE has participated in the Holisteec projects (design, development and validation of a collaborative software platform in the cloud for building design, based on BIM technology) and Accept projects (use of virtual reality glasses in the construction industry).
All this intense research and innovation activity is what has led CYPE to become a leading company in the construction industry and to receive the "Innovative SME" seal awarded by the Spanish ministry of economy and competitiveness.
