CYPE places its trust in the American company Novedge for the distribution of its software in the United States

DESTACADO:

The Spanish technology company will focus its sales on its specialised solutions in energy efficiency, MEP and HVAC aimed at the construction sector and adapted to an Open BIM workflow

The Spanish company also closes an agreement with a distributor in the United Kingdom and another in the Republic of Ireland to strengthen its presence in the English speaking market

“Having a local partner responsible for providing in person training and advising professionals on our software is fundamental in our sector”, explains Carlos Fernández, Technical Director at CYPE

The architecture, engineering and construction software company CYPE is going to boost the implementation of its software in the US market by signing a collaboration agreement with the American company Novedge, leader in the sale of professional software in the United States, in which this California based company will market the software solutions of the Spanish technology company, specialised in the energy efficiency of buildings, MEP and HVAC.

CYPE’s strong commitment to the American market began in 2016 when the Spanish company inaugurated an office in Atlanta to attend to user queries and provide a closer point of contact to customers in this country. After four years and with the need to take another step forward in attending to an increasing number of customers, CYPE has decided to work with a local partner to distribute its software products and attend to users.

“The specialisation of our software and the variety of professional profiles we target make it essential that in this growth phase we can count on a local partner that, in addition to sales, is also responsible for providing training and direct advice to our customers”, explains Carlos Fernández, Technical Director at CYPE, who notes that this international expansion model is also used in other countries where the company operates.

In the US market, CYPE is focussing sales on its digital solutions specialised in the design and calculation of energy efficient buildings, MEP and HVAC systems which, adapted to the Open BIM workflow, are best adapted to the needs of American professionals. In particular, programs in areas such as acoustics, lighting, telecommunications, fire safety, electricity, thermal and heating, ventilation and air conditioning are some of the most requested by CYPE´s customers in the US.

In this country, CYPE will continue working on signing contracts with manufacturers with the aim of developing software solutions to be used in an Open BIM workflow, like in the case of Open BIM Fujitsu USA in 2019, which allowed the company to implement its more than 130 HVAC units to BIM. Specifically the “CYPETHERM Fujitsu” software helps US professionals carry out the energy simulation of buildings, enabling to determine their energy demand, as well as the energy performance of Fujitsu HVAC systems, determining the energy consumption per building service and energy vector used.

New distributors in the UK and Republic of Ireland

In addition to the United States, CYPE has also signed two collaboration agreements with two companies to distribute the software products of the Spanish technology company in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The company Brighter Graphics will be responsible for marketing and supporting customers in the UK, whilst Power Green will distribute CYPE solutions in the Republic of Ireland.
