CYPE will participate in this year’s American Concrete Institute (ACI) Convention where it will present its solutions for structural design and analysis, adapted to the Open BIM workflow and oriented to the American market, as it has been implementing the American concrete code ACI 318 for over 20 years.
The event, which is considered one of the most important international meetings in the area of concrete materials, design, construction and repair, brings together thousands of professionals from around the world each year to present the latest developments in the concrete industry. This year’s edition will take place between 28th March and 1st April 2021 online, due to the Covid-19 safety measures adopted by the organisers.
Within this context, on Monday 29th March, CYPE will present its wide range of software solutions integrated into the Open BIM workflow via the BIMserver.center platform, which allow the completion of the whole structural analysis cycle by including the design and manufacturing phase through the interrelation between modelling programs, such as CYPE Architecture, with structural design and analysis programs belonging to the StruBIM Suite, which is made up of over a dozen specialist programs.
Among these solutions are the programs StruBIM Foundations, StruBIM Analysis, StruBIM Design, as well as StruBIM Embedded Walls, StruBIM Coupling Beams, StruBIM Shear Walls and StruBIM Rebar, the latter for the 3D modelling of reinforcement, which stands out for its precision and results in the generation of reports, drawings, and export of information to the BIM project.
The combination of different programs, working in the cloud, and the implementation of the American concrete code make CYPE’s solution one of the most complete when carrying out structural design and analysis in an Open BIM workflow in the United States.
Expansion in the United States
In 2016, CYPE opened its first office in the city of Atlanta in the United States, in order to offer closer support to technicians using its programs. Since then, CYPE has increased the number of clients in the country and has signed contracts with manufacturers, such as Fujitsu USA, to develop ad hoc software solutions adapted to the Open BIM workflow.
To further boost this growth and consolidation, in the second half of 2020 CYPE signed a collaboration agreement with the American company Novedge, a leader in the sale of professional software in the USA, whereby this California-based company markets the Spanish technology company’s software solutions specialising in structural analysis, the energy efficiency of buildings, installations and HVAC.
