CYPE adapts Fujitsu air conditioning equipments to Open BIM technology in the United States

DESTACADO:

CYPE has developed the "CYPETHERM Fujitsu" tool for Fujitsu USA, incorporating more than 130 units of its air conditioning equipments catalogue to calculate the energy performance, determining energy consumption in a collaborative, open and coordinated workflow.

CYPE has adapted more than 130 units of air conditioning equipments from Fujitsu USA catalogue to the Open BIM workflow environment, characterized by being collaborative, open and coordinated. With this implementation carried out by the Open BIM Systems department of CYPE, the designers from the United States now have a highly specialized tool to assist them in the energy simulation of their projects.

In particular, the software "CYPETHERM Fujitsu" facilitates professionals of the US performing energy simulations of buildings, determining their energy demand, as well as the performance of the Fujitsu air conditioning systems, determining the energy consumption per input system and energy source used.

To perform these calculations, "CYPETHERM Fujitsu" has the EnergyPlusTM calculation engine developed by the Department of Energy of the United States of America (DOE), one of the most used, powerful and recognized energy simulation engines in the world.

Thanks to this software, in projects of rehabilitation or energy improvement, the US technicians can anticipate the necessary economic investment that would have to be made to achieve a better energy rating, obtaining the budget of the improvement measures and the studies of the investment recovery in said improvements with the Fujitsu air conditioning systems.

The software "CYPETHERM Fujitsu", adapted to the Open BIM workflow, was officially presented at the Fujitsu USA booth of the 2019 AHR EXPO event held in Atlanta, which took place from January 14 to 16 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

CYPE, benchmark in the digital transformation of manufacturers and BIM implementation

According to a report prepared by the consultancy of Credence Research out of the United States, CYPE is considered one of the companies most heavily invested in the implementation of BIM technology worldwide. The Global Building Information Modelling Market report also states that there are more than 4000 professionals training in this work methodology.

In this line of work and with the aim of helping manufacturers in their process of digital transformation, CYPE has expanded its range of services to companies with the creation of Open BIM Systems, a new area aimed at companies and manufacturers in the sector of architecture, engineering and construction interested in integrating their products in BIM projects and improving their prescription among professionals in the sector.
