CYPE has taken another step forward in its international expansion plan with the signing of a collaboration agreement in India with the company Design2Occupancy, specialised in providing services related to energy efficiency in the building industry, in order to distribute its IT solutions and provide training to users of the Spanish technology company in India.
By signing this agreement, CYPE has two local partners in India who will be responsible for disseminating and marketing its software in a strategic country where the Spanish technology company aims to expand the presence of its solutions in the country's universities and increase its customer base among engineering companies, among other goals.
To this end, the new distributor, Design2Occupancy, will expand and reinforce the work carried out by FE Designs, a company that has been responsible for the distribution of CYPE solutions in India since 2010, ensuring that they are used by the main companies in the country, such as the Engineering Division of the Tata group, and in several universities thanks to the signing of more than 120 training licences in India.
For this purpose, Design2Occupancy has already closed two collaboration agreements with the Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), in Kolkata, and Vivekananda Global University, in Jaipur, to bring CYPE solutions adapted to the Open BIM workflow to their classrooms and to train students in the use of the design and analysis software developed by CYPE.
According to Carlos Fernández, CYPE's technical director, the agreement with a new distributor in India was essential "in order to continue providing a good service and personalised attention to professionals", while at the same time reinforcing the marketing of our software solutions adapted to Open BIM technology available on the BIMserver.center platform.
A year of international consolidation
So far this year, CYPE has strengthened its international presence with the signing of different collaboration agreements for the distribution and marketing of its solutions in the United States (USA), the United Kingdom (UK) and the Republic of Ireland.
More specifically, the Spanish technology company reached an agreement at the beginning of the year with the American company Novedge, a leader in the sale of professional software in the USA, whereby this California-based company markets the IT solutions specialising in the energy efficiency of buildings, MEP and HVAC. In the United Kingdom, Brighter Graphics has been responsible for marketing and customer service in the UK since last July, while Power Green has also been distributing the solutions in the Republic of Ireland since this summer.
CYPE solutions are currently adapted to the standards of more than 32 countries and are used by professionals in 160 countries thanks to BIMserver.center, the platform developed by the company itself to carry out architecture, engineering and construction projects in the cloud based on BIM technology and in real time.
