CYPEPLUMBING Sanitary Systems

Program downloads on the BIMserver.center platform

AcoubatBIM by CYPE, CYPEPLUMBING Sanitary Systems, CYPEGAS, CYPEFIRE Sprinklers and CYPEFIRE CTE can be downloaded from the BIMserver.center platform.

These programs are also available in the general CYPE program menu that is installed when the complete download is carried out in the Download area of the CYPE website.

Units of measurement

As of the 2018.c version, when a country is chosen to select the code that is going to be applied for the design and check of the wastewater and rainwater installation, the program automatically selects the units of measurement used in that code.

In the “General settings” dialogue box, a new button has been implemented that opens the “Units” panel, from which users can edit the units of measurements and the number of decimal places of the magnitudes that are used in the program.

The “Units” dialogue is the same as that which has appeared as of previous versions with the “Units” option of the drop-down menu that appears when the globe icon in top right-hand corner of the screen is selected. Now, this unit edit dialogue is more accessible from the “General settings” menu.

NTC 1500. Columbian plumbing code

The Columbian Plumbing Code, NTC 1500, has been added to the collection of design codes of CYPEPLUMBING Sanitary Systems has available to analyse and design wastewater and rainwater evacuation installations.

Therefore, as of the 2018.c version, users can apply a personalised design configuration, which allows for personally configured design values to be used or apply the standard configuration in accordance with the following design codes:

  • CTE DB HS5 (Spain)
  • NBR 8160:1999 and NBR 10844:1989 (Brazil)
  • NTC 1500 (Colombia)
  • RGSPPDADAR (Portugal)
  • EN 12056 (European Norm)

Ventilation systems for wastewater networks

The 2018.b version of “CYPEPLUMBING Sanitary Systems” includes the possibility to design the secondary and tertiary ventilation systems of wastewater networks. Additionally, for predefined code complying configurations for Spain (CTE DB HS5), Portugal (RGSPPDADAR), Brazil (NBR 8160:1999 and NBR 10844:1989) and for the predefined configuration of the EN 12056 code, the program includes the option to import the secondary and tertiary ventilation systems defined in these codes.

The ventilation systems can also be organised in layers and managed in 2D or 3D. These systems are added to the results and check reports, and to the quantities report, with the option to export it to FIEBDC-3 format.

The design of the ventilation systems can be carried out using a hydraulic analysis or with tables, as occurs for the rest of the wastewater installation.

CYPEPLUMBING Sanitary systems (new program)

CYPEPLUMBING Sanitary Systems is a program created to help project designers with the design and analysis of foul water and rainwater evacuation systems. It is integrated in the Open BIM workflow using the IFC standard.

The program allows for a part or all of the installations to be designed of any type of building, and the different networks (foul, rain, mixed, grey and black water) can be organised in layers and managed in 2D or 3D. The program contains material catalogues which can be completely configured, and generates floor plans, drainpipe diagrams, result and check reports, and quantity reports that can be exported to FIEBDC-3.

CYPEPLUMBING Sanitary Systems allows users to design the installations using tables or by applying a hydraulic analysis using several formulas (Manning, Wyly-Eaton, Dawson and Hunter). An automatic design of the installation can be carried out, optimising the space required by the pipe in the free height of the floor and the evacuation volumes.

The program includes predefined code-complying configurations: CTE DB HS5 (Spain), RGSPPDADAR (Portugal), NBR 8160:1999 and NBR 10844:1989 (Brazil) EN 12056. It is also possible to configure design checks to ensure code and personal technical limits are met.
