Open BIM Signs

Programs discontinued from version 2025.c

As of version 2025.c of CYPE programs the following apps will be discontinued:

  • CYPETEL Schematics
    The features of this program for the analysis and design of the diagrams of telecommunications systems are included in CYPETEL (see the new feature for version 2025.c "CYPETEL (new program)"), and important improvements and manufacturer catalogues have been added. CYPETEL Schematics jobs cannot be read by CYPETEL.

  • Open BIM Signs
    The features in this app are integrated into CYPE Architecture and CYPEFIRE and now allow signals to be entered from the catalogues included in these two programs. Open BIM Signs jobs cannot be read by CYPE Architecture or CYPEFIRE.


  • CYPELEC Grounding IEC / CYPELEC Grounding IEEE
    The services of these programs are integrated into CYPELEC and CYPELEC Distribution. Jobs in CYPELEC Grounding IEC or CYPELEC Grounding IEEE cannot be read by CYPELEC or CYPELEC Distribution.

  • CYPEPLUMBING Solar Systems
    The features of this program are included in CYPEPLUMBING (see the new feature of this 2025.c version "Incorporating CYPEPLUMBING Solar Systems into CYPEPLUMBING"), and it also adds important improvements. CYPEPLUMBING can import jobs from CYPEPLUMBING Solar Systems.

Shortcuts for all applications

CYPE apps have keyboard shortcuts common to all programs. In versions before 2024.e, each program displayed the keyboard shortcuts for each app via the "Search and activation of commands and options" in the top left-hand corner of the programs.

As of version 2024.e, the "Shortcuts for all applications" tab has been implemented in the dialogue box displayed when selecting this option and it shows all the keyboard shortcuts common to CYPE apps.

Open BIM Signs (new program)

As of version 2024.d, the new Open BIM Signs application is now available. This program is designed to provide signage solutions for any type of building using the various manufacturers included in the manufacturers' library.

Open BIM Signs can collect the sign requirements for fire protection, evacuation and accessibility elements, requirements generated by CYPEFIRE and CYPE Accessibility, respectively.

The application's connection to the manufacturers' catalogue allows the download and use of the complete manufacturers' catalogue as well as subsequent updates.

Open BIM Signs can be installed in Catalan, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. In order to use it, users must have the corresponding permission for this program.
