StruBIM Steel
Up until version 2023.g, the update of bars from the BIM project updated both the bar section as well as the displacements, rotation and position.
As of version 2023.g, the displacements and rotation can be maintained in the BIM project update.
The bars generated from the BIM project include the "Keep the displacements applied to the bars if the design model is reloaded" option in the "Insertion point" section. When this option is deactivated, all the parameters of the bars are updated. When the option is activated, the level parameters are not updated. This option will be deactivated by default, allowing updates to be carried out. When a bar is assigned a level, the option is automatically activated.
The update dialogue includes the "Lose the displacements applied to the bars even though it has been indicated that they must remain" option. By checking this option in the update, all the parameters of the bars will be updated, even if the corresponding option is activated for each bar.
As of StruBIM Steel version 2023.g, a pre-defined scene for each tag is included in the model view sheets.
With this improvement, sheets can be defined with a part of the structure containing the elements of the user's choice, depending on the defined tags.
As of StruBIM Steel version 2023.g, the part tables for each tag are included as pre-defined tables in the model view sheets.
Up until StruBIM Steel version 2023.g, the "Accessories" tool allowed an accessory to be added to a bar by selecting an intermediate position on its axis.
As of version 2023.g, an accessory can also be selected as a pattern. After selecting the accessory pattern, users can select other points at which to apply the same accessory. If possible, the entered accessories will be grouped from the same pattern.
Up until StruBIM Steel version 2023.g, StruBIM Steel's "Connection" tool allowed a connection to be created from a selection of bars.
As of version 2023.g, a connection can now also be selected as a pattern. After selecting the connection pattern, another group of bars can be selected to apply the same connection and, in addition, to group them together. To do this, with the bars selected, simply right-click to apply the connection pattern. This operation can even be repeated on another group of bars to apply the same connection again.
In the "Opening" and "Plate" operations, for polygonal shapes, a tool for generating a regular polygon with "n" sides appears at the top of the table. This tool allows the quick generation of pentagons, hexagons, etc.
In version 2023.f, the "Accessories" tool has been implemented. This tool allows sections to be edited in order to enter elements at intermediate points. The accessories work dialogue box is similar to the CYPE Connect connection editor. The purpose of this tool is to allow users to insert holes, openings, reinforcements, lifting lugs, etc. with the advantages offered by the connection editor. Just like the connections, the accessories can also be grouped together and saved in a library.
The symbol representing the accessories is a green pyramid, as opposed to the purple pyramid corresponding to the connections.
As of version 2023.f, when the model is updated, the forces of the connections will be updated automatically. In previous versions, the bars of the model were updated but the forces were updated for each connection when the user clicked on "Generate from the BIM model".
"Automatic saving options" have been added to the "Configuration" menu. Using these options, users can configure when the job will be saved automatically.
As of version 2023.f, information text windows of the connections will include the status.
As of version 2023.f, information text panels will include the weight of the selected part or assembly.
