Data input and output sequence for the design and analysis of photovoltaic systems
The PV system can be defined and analysed in the program using the following input and output sequence:
- Creating a new job (from "File", "New").
- (Optional) Linking to BIMserver.center and importing the geometric model.
- Defining types of elements. This can be done in two complementary ways:
- Loading manufacturer catalogues (from "Project", "Catalogues").
- Loading or manually entering generic element libraries (from "Project", "Element library").
- Revising and setting the general options (from "Project", "General options").
- Revising and setting the analysis conditions (from "Project", "Calculation conditions").
- (Optional) Estimating the number of collectors required from the energy pre-design (from "Project", "Energy pre-design").
- Laying out the solar panels in the work area. This can be done in several ways:
- By entering the solar panels individually ( from "Enter elements", "Solar panel").
- Generating rows of solar panels (from "Enter elements", "String of panels").
- Laying out the grid connection point in the work area (from "Entering elements", "Grid connection point").
- Laying out the rest of the elements that the photovoltaic system has in the work area (from the rest of the options in the "Enter elements" group). For example:
- Installing solar panels, an inverter and a grid connection point: entering the inverter (from "Entering elements", "Inverter").
- Entering conduits between the solar panels, the grid connection point and the rest of the elements entered (from "Entering elements", "Conduit").
- (Optional) Creating and assigning branches of solar panels (options in the "Groups" group).
- Analysing, checking and designing the elements of the model and consulting the results ("Analysis" group).
- (Optional) Managing the single-line diagram of the system ("Single-line" tab).
- (Optional) Managing and generating the bill of quantities ("Bill of quantities" tab).
- Obtaining reports and drawings (from "File", "Reports/Drawings").
- Exporting to BIMserver.center (from "BIMserver.center", "Share").
