Throughout this year we have strengthened our international presence by participating in more than 50 events, which has allowed us to reinforce our position as the driving force behind BIM software for the AEC industry. Below you can find some of the most important meetings that we have participated in or organised.
Strengthening our presence in Latin America
In March, we organised CYPE’s 1st Ibero-American Conference in Mexico, where we brought together distributors from Latin America to align strategies and present the latest developments. This event reflected our commitment to the Latin American market. In addition, we held a technical conference in collaboration with Gerdau Corsa and Hilti at the Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles in Mexico City, focusing on steel-to-concrete anchoring systems and code updates.
Strengthening ties between Europe and Asia
In June, we met with our European and Asian partners to present our new programs, review country-specific codes and share the progress on the BIMserver.center platform for version 2025.
We brought together a dozen distributors from Europe and Asia at our offices in Alicante (Spain) with the aim of creating synergies and boosting the company's international growth in these two continents. Specifically, the partners who visited CYPE's facilities are responsible for the markets of Albania, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Malaysia, Poland and Romania.
Carlos Fernández, technical director of CYPE, commented: "We have always been aware of the importance of adapting to the particularities of each country, which has led us to adapt our programs to their singularities, both in linguistic aspects and code implementation".
Presence in Sustainable Places 2024
In September, we attended Sustainable Places 2024 in Luxembourg, one of Europe's leading events focused on the dissemination of research and the grouping of European projects. This event addressed today's climate challenges and targets, with a focus on the construction industry, from buildings to transport and energy infrastructures. The event explores how to design, build and renovate spaces in the most sustainable way.
We were able to attend technical sessions, workshops and conferences that focused on topics such as renewable energies, energy transition and the implementation of technologies to improve energy efficiency. We also participated in the event, contributing our experience in programs that promote sustainability in the AEC industry.
Sharing knowledge at BuildXpo 2024
One of the epicentres of innovation in construction was in Kuala Lumpur this October. BuildXpo 2024, an event organised by CIDB, offered a space where the latest sustainable technologies and practices in the sector were presented. Our team was an active part of the event and contributed their knowledge regarding the future of construction. Live demonstrations showed how our BIM tools, aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability, are transforming the delivery of construction projects.
As well as presenting our tools, CYPE reaffirmed its commitment to the Asian market. With its focus on sustainable infrastructures, Malaysia is the perfect environment to demonstrate how our solutions can be adapted to regional demands. In addition, we were invited to visit Merdeka 118, the second-tallest building in the world. Although not yet completed, this visit allowed us to see how our solutions can be integrated into large-scale architectural projects.
Our structural steel design software at two major events in Sweden
Our involvement in the Scandinavian market has intensified this year with our presence at two important Swedish events focused on steel construction. The Nordic Steel Construction Conference and Stålbyggnadsdagen brought together leading professionals from the AEC industry.
In June, we attended the Nordic Steel Construction Conference 2024 in Luleå, a major steel production hub, at an event that brings together key players in the steel industry from the four Scandinavian countries. This meeting, which alternates between the Nordic countries, is a platform for knowledge exchange and networking in the steel industry in Scandinavia.
In November, we visited Stålbyggnadsdagen in Gothenburg and explored the latest trends in sustainable steel construction. In addition, we showed the practical application of our tools in steel construction.
During both events we demonstrated the practical application of our steel construction tools CYPE 3D, CYPE Connect, StruBIM Steel and Portal frame generator. Furthermore, during the presentation "Adopting Open BIM technology for the analysis and detailing of connections in steel structures" we illustrated the capabilities of our software in the analysis and detailing of connections in steel structures.
Committed to ongoing training
This year's 2024 events aren't the only highlights of the season. Our webinars reflect our commitment to continuous training and user support. Our CYPE Learning platform has a wide range of presentations covering many aspects of CYPE solutions and their applications in the construction industry.
This year we have delivered more than 300 webinars in different languages, mainly in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese, with some additional sessions in other languages. Thanks to the frequency of these webinars, users can keep up to date with the latest new features and best practices in the use of our software. The combination of these webinars with CYPE's participation in on-site events creates a complete learning ecosystem, satisfying the continuous training needs of architecture, engineering and construction professionals.
In 2024, we have invested in and strengthened our international presence by participating in more than 50 key events in Latin America, Europe and Asia. Combining on-site events, webinars and launches of new versions of our software, we are committed to boosting the AEC and BIM industry worldwide.
