Four decades dedicated to construction go a long way. CYPE has established a reputation in the industry during this time, both on a national and international scale, thanks to the values it is defined by and identifies with: commitment, innovation and customer orientation. A journey marked by more than a dozen awards and prizes that highlight the quality of the work carried out by the people who have formed and continue to form part of this technology company throughout its 40 years of activity.
The greatest recognition a company can obtain is to have users who trust its products and services from the very beginning; and that crosses generations when the first users' children "inherit" the management of the company's software. If we add to this the recognition of the entire professional industry, there is total satisfaction.
"Prizes and awards are something to be proud of because they give us a boost and are proof that we’re doing our job well," says Benjamín González, CYPE's Director of Corporate Development. Each award is a huge source of encouragement for the entire organisation and is another incentive that "motivates us to keep working hard every day to improve", he acknowledges.
From local to international awards
CYPE's first awards were local, which is common for any company. Among those obtained over the first few years, it is worth highlighting the Business Innovation Award granted by Cámara de Comercio de Alicante in 2001 for its work focused on Technological Development and Innovation (R&D&I). Back then, CYPE was already the leading Spanish software company in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. Two years later, it received the 2003 Efficiency Award from Círculo de Economía in the Innovation Award category.
"Innovation is part of CYPE's DNA," says Pablo Gilabert, director of the innovation department at the technology company. For this reason, most of the awards CYPE has received throughout its history are related to R&D&I and the launch of new solutions that "improve our users' competitiveness and promote more efficient and sustainable building".
Due to the improvement it generated among French construction professionals, CYPE won one of the prizes in the Innovation Competition at the Batimat International Construction Exhibition in France in 2015. The development of a pioneering software tool in France that allowed thermal analysis and design projects to be synchronised with Open BIM technology, enabling all the professionals involved to work on the same model simultaneously and in real time was a major impact in France. The organisers of the competition claimed that CYPE's innovation would revolutionise the construction industry, improving its efficiency, competitiveness and reducing project execution times. Time has proven them right.
Two years later, and after participating in more than a dozen research projects, the ministry of economy and competitiveness acknowledged CYPE's commitment to R&D&I by awarding it the "Innovative SME" seal of approval, which the organisation grants to Spanish companies with proven experience in innovation and research, and which the technology company has continued to renew ever since.
CYPE's international expansion and the development of new solutions based on BIM technology have also gone hand in hand in recent years with new awards all over the world, such as the award for the best software development company for architecture, engineering and construction in Paraguay in 2019; the IN4Bankia 2020 award in the “Best exporting company” category; or the special mention from BuildingSMART International in its 2021 awards program.
These prizes and awards are a good way of measuring the success of the company's four decades of service, where commitment to its customers' needs continues to be a priority. These forty years of looking to the future with enthusiasm are the best business cards for a company that wants to continue growing and leading the digital transformation of the construction industry for another 40 years.

The Institute for Professional Excellence (IEP) presents this award in recognition of CYPE's business track record in the development of technical software and its contribution to the socio-economic development in Spain.
Best software developer for architecture, engineering and construction in Paraguay
To mark the occasion of the Paraguay Construction Gala, the organisers awarded CYPE the first prize in the "Best software development company for architecture, engineering and construction" category for its firm commitment to innovation and new technologies.
