CYPE Architecture

The "Isolate layer" option has been implemented in the "Own elements" section. This option allows users to isolate the active layer, turning off the rest of the layers available in the project.

To turn all the layers of the project back on, simply click on the visibility column of the project's own elements and select "Show all".

CYPE Architecture allows users to import furniture objects and create their own library. The library allows objects to be imported in ".ifc", ".obj" and ".step" formats.
In the "Furniture" tab, there is now a new "User objects" section with two options:

  • Library
From here, users can import objects and create their own library that can be used in the current project or in other CYPE Architecture projects. The library also allows users to modify the properties of the imported object (type, scale factor, drawing both sides of the surface areas).

  • Insert
This option is used to insert the objects available in the user library. When searching for objects to insert them, they are sorted according to the classification indicated in the library.

For 3D views defined within applications with a 3D working environment, the "Show selected templates in each floor view" option has been added. When activated, the templates visible in each of the floor views will be displayed in the 3D view in the dimension corresponding to these views.

As of version 2024.c, applications with a 3D working environment can manage the visibility of templates from the view configuration panel. For this purpose, the "DXF-DWG templates" tab has been added, where a list of all the templates imported into the project is displayed together with a checkbox to indicate which ones should be shown in the view.

Version 2024.c of the CYPE programs listed below incorporates product libraries from different manufacturers so that they can be downloaded and used in the BIM model generated by the program.

  • CYPE Architecture
  • CYPE Construction Systems
  • CYPELEC REBT
  • CYPELEC NF
  • CYPELEC PV Systems
  • CYPELUX
  • CYPELUX CTE
  • CYPELUX EN
  • CYPELUX SCE
  • CYPEPLUMBING Water Systems
  • CYPEFIRE
  • CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems

All CYPE programs can be installed in their different versions (Professional Version, Evaluation Version, Campus Version, Temporary License). In previous versions, users could only choose the type of version to be installed from the classic CYPE menu.

As of version 2024.a, the selection of version types has been implemented in all CYPE programs on the BIMserver.center platform.

As of version 2024.d, this selection can be made during the installation of all CYPE programs, regardless of where they are downloaded.

As of version 2024.b, the following applications are also available in Romanian:

  • CYPE Architecture
  • Open BIM Analytical Model
  • Open BIM Model Checker
  • Open BIM Layout
  • Open BIM Site
  • Plugin Open BIM - Revit

The "Adjust vertical elements" and "Adjust horizontal elements" tools have been implemented in the "Building elements" section. They allow users to change the adjustment (to the right, to the left or centred) of one or more horizontal or vertical elements with respect to their entry line.

These tools work with elements that allow for adjustment in their entry: walls, curtain walls, louvres, railings and floor slabs.

To change the setting of one or more elements, select the new setting to be used and then select the elements to be adjusted.

As of version 2024.b, CYPE Architecture allows the "Slope formation" element to be entered by sketch surface area. To do this, first, select the surface area of the sketch and then select the point where the drain is located.

As of version 2024.b, columns can be entered using two methods:

  • Columns: Individual entry
Allows users to enter columns in the job one at a time by point or by sketch line. Entering with this method allows the columns to be rotated from an axis where the rotation of the column will be specified. This rotation is maintained for entering successive columns.

  • Columns: Multiple entry using sketch line
Allows users to enter several columns at the same time using sketch lines. This can be done with rotation by selecting the rotation angle by means of two points.

A new entry mode has been implemented for walls, curtain walls and louvres, allowing sketch lines to be selected as baselines.

It also allows users to select multiple sketch lines, speeding up the process of entering these elements.

As of version 2024.b, applications with the "Element selection tool" (this tool was implemented in version 2021.e) have the ability to move the selected model components with the arrow keys on the keyboard. The elements shall be moved on the work plane of the active view in the direction of the arrow key. Whenever the arrow is pressed, the distance that is displaced is constant, so zooming will make it larger or smaller.
