NEW FEATURES

2026.b Version

Publication date:
November 3, 2025

As of version 2026.b, project files are automatically associated with the corresponding CYPE app in the Windows environment. This means that you simply double-click on the file to open it directly in the appropriate program, without having to select it manually. This improvement streamlines the workflow and provides a smoother and more efficient user experience.

In CYPECAD, CYPE 3D and Foundation elements, it is now possible to define several stirrup sections, check the structural limit, and perform checks according to the CIRSOC 103 standard in Argentina.

In CYPECAD, the option to consider the increase in basal shear forces with user criteria has been added to all seismic codes, providing greater flexibility in international projects.

CYPECAD now includes improvements in the editing of punching shear reinforcement and a new option to optimise space in portal frame drawings, streamlining project documentation.

The NLT module for tension-only bars has been extended to also include compression-only bars. This feature offers greater versatility in structural modelling.

CYPE 3D now connects to the Open BIM Database to incorporate intumescent mortars, and the fireproof coating reports and drawings have been improved, including the "Summary of fireproof coatings".

The possibility of designing and checking connections with solid round bars has been incorporated into StruBIM Steel and CYPE Connect, expanding the range of structural types available.

Weld verification in StruBIM Steel and CYPE Connect has been expanded to also cover partial penetration welds, in addition to fillet welds, in accordance with the selected standard.

New options have been implemented in StruBIM Steel and CYPE Connect that allow the positions of bolts to be defined more quickly and easily, improving efficiency in the modelling of connections.

The project reports can be exported in different languages, which makes it easier to manage projects in international environments.

Version 2026.b expands the international scope of CYPE software with the implementation of new standards:

    • CYPECAD (Turkish wind standard TS 498: 2021);

    • CYPECAD and CYPE 3D (Algerian earthquake standard RPA 2024);

    • CYPECAD, CYPE 3D and Portal frame generator (Romanian rolled steel standard SR EN 1993-1-1);

    • CYPECAD, CYPE 3D and Portal frame generator (Romanian standard SR EN 1993-1-3 and Indian standard IS 801 - 1975 (Rf 1995) for shaped steel);

    • StruBIM Steel and CYPE Connect (Australian standards for anchors AS 3600: 2018 and AS 5216: 2021).

Version 2026.b includes the MDC module – "Detailed model of plumbing systems", for accurately modelling plumbing systems. This tool offers a complete breakdown of the systems, facilitating hydraulic design, the graphic representation of the system and obtaining the quantities and costs associated with the project.

Several new features have been added to CYPEPLUMBING that enable the automatic layout of pipes in different parts of the drainage system. The geometry generated can be adjusted and modified later by the user to adapt it to the project's needs. The generation options are located in the new "Generate" group, available in the top toolbar of the "Installation" tab (in "Sanitary Systems").

CYPEPLUMBING now includes the possibility of grouping by floors in the "Sanitary Systems" tab, both from the definition of floor plans for the project and through the "Assign" option in the edit menu. This feature enables the more efficient management of water drainage systems in projects with varying levels.

CYPEHVAC now includes combined thermal and acoustic analysis in ducts. This feature can simultaneously evaluate the heat transfer and acoustic performance of the installation, displaying the results using colour maps that facilitate quick and intuitive interpretation of the system's overall performance.

Entering systems in CYPEHVAC is now more intuitive thanks to new tools (extend/trim, regenerate and delete connections), improvements in tags, references and colour configuration.

As of version 2026.b, CYPEHVAC can configure the design by systems, choose between optimal or corrective designs, and apply specific criteria (speed, pressure, dimensions). In addition, the design of water emitters has been incorporated, expanding the analysis possibilities in projects.

The connection between CYPEHVAC and the Open BIM Database allows cylinders and air-source heat pump units to be incorporated with their technical and economic data. This information is used both for the analysis and to obtain the final cost of the project.

The features of CYPETHERM Improvements Plus have been incorporated directly into CYPETHERM EPlus. This provides a more integrated and comprehensive work environment for energy simulation. This integration simplifies the workflow and improves the continuity of analyses and certificates. As a result, CYPETHERM Improvements Plus is no longer available as a standalone app and has become part of these main tools.

Heat recovery units have been added to Open BIM Database, allowing them to be incorporated directly into energy simulation projects with CYPETHERM EPlus.

CYPETEL can now design twisted pair cable networks, expanding the possibilities for designing telecommunications infrastructure.

The "3D Model" tab in CYPETEL includes new tools for editing, double outlets, cabinets and junction boxes, as well as improvements in representation and labelling.

The improvements in the "Diagrams: Analysis" tab facilitate their correlation with the 3D model, thus ensuring consistency between the design and the documents.

CYPETEL can directly export models to IFC format, promoting interoperability with other programs.

CYPETEL now includes new options for searching for products in Open BIM Database. It also includes the possibility of generating items for delivery personnel in the bill of quantities.

Designs now take into account the increase in the number of conductors per phase, allowing for greater flexibility in high-power installations.

CYPELEC automatically adapts the type of circuit breaker, changing it from domestic or tertiary to industrial according to the project requirements.

CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems automatically detects fire hose reels and allows you to enter inlets and outlets for dry and wet standpipes from the architectural model.

Sprinkler placement now follows the perimeter of each space and takes into account false ceilings, improving the automatic adjustment of the design in CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems.

The system checks for clashes between system elements and the structure (columns and beams), ensuring the viability of the project.

CYPELUX incorporates the automatic distribution of emergency lighting throughout the building, speeding up the definition of evacuation plans.

The Plugin converts piping systems into native Revit families, including connections and offers different levels of integration: IFC links, detailing and analyses.

Options have been added to the Open BIM - Revit Plugin to assign colours to pipe systems, show or hide links, and view their content.

The Open BIM - Revit Plugin interface has been optimised with colour filters for reinforcement and transparencies in structural elements.

Open BIM Quantities quantity tables allow for formulas, conditional formatting and greater customisation, improving reports and specifications.

Arquimedes now includes new report templates and updates existing formats, such as the "PEC summary sheet with VAT (with list of work sections and fees)".
