Copying user settings from one computer to another
User settings can be transferred from one computer to another (including information such as reinforcement tables, user templates and element libraries) via a simple folder-copying process. To do this, follow these steps:
- Install the program on the second computer so that the correct directory structure is created.
- On the first computer, copy the following directory:
- C:\Users\Windows_user\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v20xx\, where "Windows_user" is the name of the user account signed in to the computer and "v20xx" is the installed version of the CYPE software (for example, "v2027").
- On the second computer, paste the copied folder into the same directory.
By default, the "AppData" folder is hidden by the system, so it may not be visible. To disable this restriction and view this folder, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the folder C:\Users\Windows_user.
- In the top menu bar, click on the "View" tab, look for the "Show or hide" section and tick the "Hidden items" box.
